Understanding AI Credits

AI Credits are the fuel for Zoviz's AI generation tools. This guide explains the kinds of credits, what uses them, how to get more, and how credits differ from unlocking a brand.

What AI Credits are

AI Credits are a balance you spend whenever you generate something with AI — an image, a video, marketing copy, and so on. Your current balance is always shown in the top bar.

Think of credits as fuel: browsing, editing templates, and downloading don't burn them — only AI generation does.

Two kinds of credits

Credits you earn in the Customer Club also go into your balance.

Plan credits arrive every month, on monthly and yearly plans alike. They reset each month: unused plan credits don't carry over to the next month.

Pay-as-you-go credits are for when you need more than your plan gives, or when you don't have a plan. They stay valid for 12 months from the day you buy them.

What costs credits (and what doesn't)

Spends credits — AI generation

Higher-effort outputs — like video or premium marketing content — cost more per generation than a single image. That's why credits can drop faster on some tools.

AI Studio tools — background remover, image upscaler, AI image editor, object removal, text to image, sketch to image, product photography and document translator — are AI tools too. They use AI Credits, and each tool's Generate button shows what a use costs before you run it.

Presentations are credit-based, so there's no fixed number of presentations per plan.

Doesn't spend credits

• Editing and downloading template-based Brand Kit assets (social posts, business cards, letterheads, etc.)
• Browsing templates and the asset grid
• Managing your brand, workspace, and account

How to get more credits

You can add credits at any time:

• Pay as you go — choose Charge credits on the Panel's AI Credits card, or open Pay as you go. Pick one of the default packs or choose your own amount; bigger packs cost less per credit. Anyone can buy them, with or without a plan, and they're valid for 12 months. Need enterprise volume? Zoviz is a certified Microsoft Partner — enterprise credit packages with consolidated billing are available on the Azure Marketplace.
• Upgrade your plan — a bigger plan gives you more credits every month (Starter 300, Pro 800, Business 2,000). See Plans & pricing.
• Earn them free in the Customer Club — complete tasks (install the app, write a review, refer friends, share on social) and the credits land in your balance; see Customer Club.
• Redeem activation code — if you have a code (for example from a promotion), redeem it in your account. Zoviz detects whether it's a credit, brand, or subscription voucher; see Redeem a voucher.

Credits vs. unlocking a brand — they're different things

This is the most common point of confusion, so it's worth being clear:

In short:

• Credits let you generate with AI.
• Unlocking a brand lets you download that brand's assets in full quality.

You can use up credits without unlocking a brand, and you can unlock a brand without spending many credits. Most users do both.

Unlocking a brand

• Brands are unlocked through your plan. Each plan unlocks a set number of brands: Starter 1, Pro up to 5, Business up to 15.
• On a locked brand, choose Unlock brand kit for this brand to use one of your plan's brand unlocks.
• Unlocking one brand does not unlock your other brands — each brand is unlocked separately.
• Zoviz no longer sells one-time logo packages or brand licenses; the one exception is the Elite Logo Kit, which transfers ownership of the logo icon to you.

Tips for managing credits

• Use your plan credits within the month. They reset each month and don't carry over.
• Preview before you generate. Set up your prompt and options carefully so each generation counts.
• Use template assets for routine work. Social posts, cards, and letterheads don't cost credits — save AI generations for images, video, and copy.
• Watch the balance in the top bar. Top up before a big batch so you don't get interrupted mid-project.

Common questions

Do unused credits expire?
It depends on the kind. Plan credits reset each month: unused plan credits don't carry over to the next month. Pay-as-you-go credits are valid for 12 months from purchase.

What happens to my credits if I cancel my plan?
Your access continues until the end of the paid period. When access ends, unused plan credits are lost and new monthly credits stop. Reactivate before then and you keep your credits.

Do yearly plans get all their credits at once?
No. Yearly plans get their credits every month, the same as monthly plans.

Does editing a template cost credits?
No. Only AI generation tools spend credits. Downloading template assets in full quality comes with unlocking the brand.

I unlocked one brand but a second brand still asks me to unlock — why?
Each brand is unlocked separately, and each one uses one of your plan's brand unlocks. If you've used them all, upgrade to a plan with more brands.

What's the difference between buying credits and unlocking a brand?
Buying credits adds AI generation fuel. Unlocking a brand, through your plan, gives that brand's full-quality downloads. They serve separate purposes.
